Maryknoll House

Maryknoll House opened in March 1993 and is a single story service, catering for 41 permanent residents and one respite resident.  It is sited on top of a hill with a scenic view of the town of Port Macquarie and surrounded by beautiful gardens.  It offers a very relaxing and serene living environment, both indoors and outdoors.

Maryknoll is spacious, using warm pastel colours and has three wings each housing ten residents and the fourth 13.  There is a main dining room and a lounge area and spacious recreation room.  Laundry service of bed linen and personal items of clothing, is provided offsite. The facility is equipped with a “Therapy Room” for massage and reflexology for pain management. Podiatry and beautician sessions are also held in this room. Access to e-mail, word processing and internet is available to residents.  A coffee shop is available to residents, family and friends which opens out to a beautiful courtyard area.

Maryknoll has been accredited five times, with 3 Better Practice Awards.  The service is staffed with registered nurses along with carers, lifestyle and ancillary staff.  Maryknoll House is committed to Continuous Improvement with any suggestions from visitors, residents, families, staff and volunteers actively sought to enhance the daily comfort and wellbeing of each resident.
