Get Involved
Catholic Care of the Aged greatly values the many ways in which our extensive team of volunteers contribute and enhance the aged care experience and well-being of our residents and community aged care clients. Volunteers are a very special part of our team so we endeavour to ensure that our volunteers’ interactions and contributions are ones that bring mutual enjoyment and satisfaction for all concerned.
CCA has a strong band of over 280 Volunteers, who offer assistance across a broad range of activities and Pastoral Care to the residents within our facilities, they strengthen the many varied activities we are able to offer to our residents. Volunteers contribute a great community spirit through their values, enthusiasm and commitment.
We welcome volunteers of all ages with our youngest volunteer being 15 years and the oldest 96. We offer a structured Volunteers program with orientation, continuous education and support throughout their time with us.
Volunteering provides an opportunity to meet new people and form new relationships, become part of a team, but most importantly make a difference in the lives of our elderly residents and clients. For as little as an hour a week, your gift of time can make a difference to someone’s life, as well as your own.
If you are interested in joining please contact Alison Sherratt, Lifestyle & Volunteers Coordinator on (02) 6589 9810 or via email at ASherratt@cca.stagnesparish.org.au.
