Levels of Care
CCA offers a full range of care services from community care, independent living in its villages, low care within its hostels and high care in its nursing home to include dementia-specific and psycho-geriatric care.
High Care/Nursing Homes
High Care is for older people who require ongoing professional nursing and personal care. High Care facilities are sometimes referred to as aged care nursing homes and provide 24-hour aged care nursing and other support services for those whose care needs cannot be met in Low Care facilities or the community.
Low Care/Hostel
Low Care is available for people who are capable of living with a degree of independence and require some support to manage daily tasks, but do not need full-time nursing. Services like cleaning, cooking and washing are provided at the facility as well as some personal care support.
Low Care facilities aim to provide a well-maintained and home-like environment, supported by carers who can assess and address individual aged care needs.
Ageing In Place
CCA's low care residential services have been approved by the Commonwealth Government to offer both high and low aged care services for people within the same aged care facility. This means that it may be possible to stay at the facility, even if care needs increase, pending assessment of the resident’s individual aged care needs.
However, it is important to note that the safety of all aged care residents and staff is considered the main priority when assessing whether people can remain in the residential aged care facility.
Self Care
CCA has two retirement villages that enable people to maintain independence in stylish self-contained self care units, while enjoying a great community atmosphere. Our independent living villages offer you freedom from building and garden maintenance, a sense of security, companionship and access to other useful services and facilities. As a major provider of community care, CCA can also offer community aged care services to our village residents who have been assessed as requiring it.
Community Care
Community care services focus on enabling, empowering and promoting independence for older people so they can remain active members of their community for as long as possible.
Packages can include domestic personal assistance and case management, assistive equipment and home modification to enable independent living.
An Aged Care Assessment Team assessment is required prior to commencing any aged care community care package.
