Emmaus

Emmaus opened in 2005 to provide Care for 50 residents.  Emmaus has since been significantly expanding and now offers a person-centred care approach to its 116 residents.

There are 116 single rooms with some shared en suites and some individual en suites.  Each room has their own private seating area looking out onto paved courtyards with seating and umbrellas provided.  The western aspect of the building has views across lakes and wetlands with prolific bird and animal life.  Residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms with photographs, their own bedspreads or doonas and personal items from home.  All rooms have reverse cycle air conditioning.  Some of Emmaus rooms have flat screen TVs provided.

Other facilities include a kiosk / coffee shop and hairdressing salon.  The dining room is situated in the centre of the building overlooking the western courtyard.  Residents have a choice of menus with all meals prepared by the Marian Hospitality Centre.

Relatives and friends are always welcome at Emmaus.  A private room is available for resident and family special occasions with a guest room for overnight stays.
