We are seeking suitably qualified Care Service staff, experienced in care or cleaning/kitchen, to join our team of dedicated staff focused on providing resident-directed care.

Catholic Care of the Aged (CCA) is an integral part of St Agnes’ Parish, Port Macquarie.  With over 600 people in our care, CCA is the largest aged care provider within the areas of Port Macquarie and Kempsey.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking suitably qualified and experienced people for Care Service roles, to provide resident-directed care within our Aged Care facilities.  The successful applicants will be committed to the person-centred approach, and will work co-operatively and respectfully with residents, co-workers, families, visitors and volunteers as detailed below:

SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Commitment to work in harmony with Catholic Values and Principles
  • Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support – Care roles, or Experience in food handling (Certificate II in Hospitality is desirable)  – Cleaning/Kitchen role
  • Be able to observe accurately and follow directions precisely
  • A genuine interest in and compassion for the aged
  • Experience in working with computers and possesses good keyboard skills
  • Flexibility to be able to work a range of shifts during the week and weekends

CONDITIONS

Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Diocese of Lismore Care Services NSWNMA and HSU NSW Enterprise Agreement (2014-2017).  Attractive salary packaging is also available for permanent employees.
